Love Poetry
The poetry is called ‘Watching over Syria’ and was written as a love letter for Syrians in 2016 when the bombing of them in Aleppo had made it clear that world powers were committing crimes against humanity because Bashar Al-Assad desired land which was uninhabited and useable as development with industrial capitalist power. ‘Watching over Syria’ documents the extermination led by Al-Assad against Syrians and witnesses the immense violence suffered under bombing campaigns that murdered civilians indiscriminately.
